We are seeking someone to do primarily painting and cleaning in return for an apartment. This may include painting vacant apartments, spackling holes in the wall, cleaning dirty stoves, toilets, refrigerators, scrubbing dirty bathroom tile, vacuuming hallways, mopping floors, pulling weeds, cleaning windows, shoveling snow in the winter, picking up trash in and around the buildings, weed whacking, spraying pesticide/herbicides, trimming hedges, responding to tenant lock-outs, and occasionally showing vacant apartments to prospective residents. Additional extras could include cleaning out clogged drains, laying ceramic tile, laying carpet, laying linoleum, etc.
The hours are flexible in that you can pick your schedule with us and you may occasionally have the option of doing more hours one week and less during others as long as it adds up to your required amount. You would be working primarily at the North Bend Apartments 1722 W N Bend Rd. and our 5 other locations. A car would be necessary to drive between the locations. We would provide training and instruction for each duty you would be asked to perform. We are looking for someone who is a hard worker, honest, responsible, a self-starter, has a good attitude, doesn't mind getting a little dirty, can work quickly but with quality, and can lift at least 60 pounds (a heavy trash can). We also need a committed person who is willing to stay in the apartment for at least a 12 month commitment.
In return we can offer a two bedroom apartment, if there are two people OR a one bedroom apartment, if there is one person. We would require 7 hours per week per person for the two bedroom OR 10 hours per week for a one bedroom. The apartment would include heating and water. You can view photos and more information at http://www. apartmenthome.info The apartment address where you would live would be either at 1722 North Bend in College Hill OR 8356 Anthony Wayne in Hartwell. Both locations are less than 10 minutes from Lifespring/Clovernook Church.
To apply, we would have you fill out information about yourself and set up a time for you to come out and work on the apartments. We would need you to work 20 hours before moving into the apartment. If we like your work and you like doing the work, we will apply those 20 hours to your last month's requirement of hours. If it looks like things won't work out, we will pay you $10/hour for the work you do. Also, at any time, if you decided you did not want do work anymore, you could just begin renting the apartment. (Two Bedroom= $550 and One Bedroom = $425)
To get the application, go to http://www. apartmenthome.info and click on the download application link on the home page. In addition, please provide answers to the following three questions:
1. Why are you interested in this position? 2. What skills and experience do you have that relate to this type of work? 3. What are your future plans in life?
Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you! Lisa Everingham lisa@apartmenthome.info 513-541-8687
